From Alex Emond: This is an English Ford, but it has left hand drive. Made for export. Has a stick shift. Very compact, reminding us that cars and trucks have just kept on getting bigger . Back then people weren't quite as corpulent, or tall. Every generation ratchets up a notch. This car is out at Johnston's Canyon, in front of the old filling station–they used to sell gas but now the little building is the office for people renting cabins. No license plate but it looks to be in perfect shape. An odd, cool-looking little car.
AL: Canada imported lot of English cars until the 1970s and the Datsun 510. We remember lots of Angliae in Montreal. See out post on the 1948 Standard Vanguard.
