1968 Chevrolet Impala wagon, Santa Barbara.

Virginia McCracken caught this one. With a few tweaks it could have been AL's 1969 Brookwood. Regret selling that car. Last seen it was in Ventura. If you spot it, let me know.

1940 Chevrolet coupe. California.

From Michael Moore, in the East Bay: "Spotted on the day after Christmas down by the water; a 1940 Chevrolet someone definitely [and tastefully] cares about."

Haystack Mountains, West Texas.

Don Culbertson in Marfa, Texas inherited his father's truck.
"I only park my Chevy facing east.
"I park it on a mat.

Heavy Metal! The Diamond T

From Colin Washburn, in the Sierra foothills: Neglected old Diamond T workhorse, 1940’s vintage. Once a log-hauler for the West Side Lumber Company here in Tuolumne, Ca., now rusting away, graffitied, and picked clean. Talk about BIG IRON !!

AL: we have posted a1948  Diamond T pickup in Banff, Alberta. And this post about a Diamond T collection being auctioned a few years ago. Here's a '37 Diamond T being restored in eastern Alberta.

1932 Buick coupe

From Markus Anstadt: "Parked on a Denver city street, mid-December. I am not a hot rod guy, but the Buick covers caught my eye. 'Not your father's Buick', I guess."

AL found another hot little Buick online:

1946 GMC EC152

From Michael Moore. in the East Bay: "I got to talking to Mark the machinist about his milspec ’46 GMC for so long I didn’t get any really good pics but found out [in addition to a whole lot of other stuff] he pulled it out of the marshes near Suisun around 1979 for $25.00 and has had it since…along the way he replaced the original 216 six with a 235 as well as several transmissions due to the inherent vice [at least after sixty or eighty years] of water leaking from the windshield, down the dash and gear shift lever and into the tranny which rusts the gears. Who knew?"

AL: '48 GMC-with-a-tree  in this post from eastern Alberta.

From Matthew Sheehey: "Check out this Plymouth Scamp I saw today in Arlington, VA.
I've seen Valiants, Darts and Volares, but this must be my first Scamp since moving here in 2010."
