From Alex Emond: "This Canadian-made Pontiac was in Maple Creek, Saskatchewan. Built in Oshawa, Ontario on a Chevrolet chassis with a 427 Chev engine, strange as that may sound. This has to be a fairly rare car, certainly "muscular" for the year. Quite a stylish boat. I think it stands the test of time. Here's a video that nerds out , in detail , if you want a rabbit hole to dive into."

Caught a 1968 Ford Ranchero in Brooklin, Maine this summer. And and another 1965 Falcon Ranchero in Ventura, Calif. a while back. Then there was the 1978 Ford Ranchero Squire, minus vinyl  faux-wood paneling, in Denver.

1984 Volvo 340 DL

 

From Jonathan Welsh:  "This car stood out as 'not from around here' when I spotted it in the Peacham, Vermont Post Office parking lot. It did not look like a Volvo, despite the grille and badging. Right- hand drive, too! Turns out the 340 started life as a Dutch DAF 66, which Volvo acquired as part of a plan to enter the compact-car market. The Swedish company tweaked the car over the years to be more Volvo-like and it wound up selling well. Helped put continuously variable transmissions on the map!
