Brooklin Boatyard

Built at the Brooklin Yard, launching on Thursday, Toroa is a 70-footer

A 12 1/2. The best small boat ever? Thank you, Mr Herreshoff.
Just another day at the beautiful boat float.
It's Maine. There's fog. Deal with it. Couple 12 1/2's, foreground. Iris in the background, built at Brooklin Boatyard in 2013.
Scout is rigged and ready to go. Cape Dory 25.

Another XKE

I think a later edition than the car we posted last week, but this one is for sale.  Lose those whitewalls, though.

1972 Kenworth; beetle-kills

from Colin Washburn in the Sierras: " Went for another ride-along with my friend Daniel Cover yesterday in his 1972 KENWORTH, an oldie but a goodie. My ears still ringing today from the LOUD Jake-brake !
Hauling beetle-killed trees out of Yosemite National Park. LOTS of standing-dead trees throughout the Sierra Nevada, sadly.
On a brighter note ; Yosemite Valley lush and green, the waterfalls raging with the record-setting snow melt. Merced River ( River of Mercy en EspaƱol ) overflowing it's banks !"--CRW

1963 Pontic Catalina Safari

You know how much we like station wagons and this one is a straight, clean classic from the great wagon era. We've posted it before--it lives on our peninsula-- but it is such a beauty we didn't think you mind seeing it again.

1950 Chevrolet

From Alex Emond in south Saskatchewan: "Here's a scene from Lafleche, Sask. This Chevrolet probably does a bit of yard work and trips to the dump a few times a year. Semi-retired, almost out to pasture. I realize that these photos are like hardware store calendar art but so be it.
I was a little upset to see that this late 40's International Harvester truck was no longer in it's spot, in a back yard in Lafleche ... I did this quick sketch of it late last summer. It might have been sold or maybe the owner is working on it somewhere . Cheers" --AE

Jaguar XKE convertible. Cambridge, Massachusetts

They were the coolest thing around. Don't know if that gestalt has ever been matched. Never driven one. Have you? I miss the wire wheels on this car. We've posted on Jags before.
