From Jonathan Welsh: "Most avid car spotters can name at least a few models that were killed off just as they hit their stride. Here is one. Cadillac finally installed its powerful, sophisticated Northstar V-8 engine in the Allante for 1993, giving the previously lackluster convertible impressive performance. I took time out of an early morning bike ride to capture this mint example. Chrome wheels and one-piece door glass mark it as a '93."
AL: we posted a Cadillac Allante from Denver a while back. And lots of other Cadillacs, including this 1949 coupe in Maine. And the Allante's predecessor, a 1990 Coupe de Ville. Then a 1964 Cadillac convertible in Cambridge, Mass. And 1965 convertible, also Cambridge. Here's Chip Lord of Ant Farm, and a Cadillac Ranch reject. And a 1955 Cadillac Series 62 sedan.
