From somewhere in the mid-90s. The Ford LTD posted last week was one FoMoCo generation earlier. AL caught this car in Cambridge, where 4-door, rear-wheel-drive old-time family haulers are rare specimens. Have a thing for Mercurys---by the time I was 9 my father was consulting me on which car to buy, and I went for the 1965 Mercury Montclair, with a 'Breezeway' rear window. Best family car we ever had. The 1965 Montclair below went shockingly cheap on BaT, a few years ago.
In Canada, there were Mercury trucks, like this 1948 M-47, and the 1951 M-3 we caught in Nova Scotia a while back. This Mercury Monarch was another Canada-only model. And we have posted a 1966 Mercury 100 from...Saskatchewan.
