1959 Plymouth Belvedere
You couldn't call it a handsome car. It's over several tops. The '58 was a beauty, especially sans fender skirts. But '59 was a year of maniacal over-the-topness. Think of the Buick. Think of--my favorite car--the '59 Catalina. Chrome encrusted netherworlds of design. But they have something to say, don't they? I saw this supersized helping of Americanness at Motorland in Arundel Maine.
