1960 Impala

Basha Burwell caught the Chevy on I-10 (not "the 10") near Sierra Blanca, Texas when we were on the road from ELP to Marfa. I like the over-the topness of the 1959 GM cars, which were all tuned down mildly for 1960. Though I guess "mild" is not the first word that comes to mind when you look at this car.

  1. My grandfather's car--it hit impressive speeds on backwoods straightaways on the route from Fall River down to his Little Compton shack on the beach (well, impressive to an 8 year old)! Same color design as this inside and out.
