1984 Volvo 340 DL

 

From Jonathan Welsh:  "This car stood out as 'not from around here' when I spotted it in the Peacham, Vermont Post Office parking lot. It did not look like a Volvo, despite the grille and badging. Right- hand drive, too! Turns out the 340 started life as a Dutch DAF 66, which Volvo acquired as part of a plan to enter the compact-car market. The Swedish company tweaked the car over the years to be more Volvo-like and it wound up selling well. Helped put continuously variable transmissions on the map!
