1968 Ford Fairlane

from Jonathan Welsh: "Ms. Phillips, my third-grade teacher, drove a Fairlane just like this. Similar cars seemed to be everywhere when I was growing up. Ford sold hundreds of thousands of them in a range of body styles. Collectors have traditionally sought the flashier convertibles and fastback coupes but bread-and-butter sedans are gaining popularity because of demographic and cultural shifts in the market. This clean example has been parked at a Montclair, N.J., train station with a for-sale sign for weeks. Price too high?"

AL posted a '58 Fairlane   Here's another '58 Skyliner. Not a handsome Ford year. Also a plug-ugly year for some of GM, come to think of it–the '58 Chevy was fine, the Buick was a Belchfire.

The '59 Fairlane was something else, though.
