Marfa Trucks: 2 1975 GMC Sierra Grande 15's

One morning four years ago I bought our 1975 GMC Sierra Grande 15 from Bee Pierce in Marfa, Texas. It had been a Marfa truck forever. I shipped it up to Maine where it now lives. This year  I found the truck's identical twin, or what was left of it, on a backstreet in Marfa.
No rust on either truck. Mine was a one-owner, maintained by a meticulous man who was a long-haul trucker. I don't believe my truck ever left Presidio County until it was shipped to Maine.

Okay, it probably went to Alpine (Brewster County) now and then.
Don't know the story of the other truck. I was, of course, scouting for parts, but there wasn't much left. We'll be back in Marfa in a couple of weeks so I will take another look. I'd like an axle.

Somewhere along the way my truck acquired a Chevrolet tailgate.

Originally sold by Casner Motors in Marfa, which occupied the downtown building that is now Marfa's City Hall.

  2. This truck belonged to my great grand father. Then was left to me as a child. It had lots of character. I mean needed a paint job and love. So before I had a license to drive I would sneak it out and go pick up ft Davis girls. Then I got to the age and got my license. Sold the truck back to bee "mistake" and finally found it just lookin at picks of a 59 Apache suburban my girl owns posted on the Internet. I know the truck made a few trips to del rio tx too. Glad the truck is in good hands.
