The Chinati Foundation's Chamberlain Building used to be a wool and mohair warehouse in Marfa. In 1983 it was adapted by Donald Judd to house 23 of John Chamberlain's steel sculptures. Some are from a group of ten cultures constructed on a ranch near Amarillo between 1972 and 1975, and are loosely named after Texas towns and counties.
