Econoline Pickup, Vermont.

Reid Cunningham caught it in Londonderry,Vermont. "I have been wanting to catch a picture of this for the last month or so, but the timing kept being off. Too dark, on a call so couldn't stop, bit finally this weekend it worked out. I always think of the K-car as the platform that spawned everything, sedans, minivans, a pickup (Rampage) and so on. But in the 60's the Falcon produced as much variety. Starting as a economy car, it was two and four door sedans, and two and four door wagons, along with the Ranchero pickup. Convertibles and hard tops followed, and then the Econoline vans, utility and passenger, (passenger van sold as a Falcon van)and the Econoline Pickup. (I always think of the Econoline as the van but it was the forward control truck too). Finally, the Mustang was all Falcon underneath. Not bad for a car that for the first years was only offered with a lowly 6 cylinder and took years to even get a four speed transmission.  This looks like an early version but I couldn't get any closer on year."
AL: More Econoline pickups here.
One on the block a while back at BaT.
But maybe our favorite is this one in Alpine, Texas.
