Mercedes-Benz 240GD
from Jonathan Welsh: "So many once-gritty workhorse SUVs have morphed into luxury cruisers but this one is the real thing. In Montclair, N.J., roughly 1985 vintage. Early G-Wagens like this were built for Mercedes in Austria back then by Steyr-Daimler-Puch. Rare birds compared with old Jeeps and Land Rovers."
