1959 Buick LeSabre
from Alex Emond, in south Saskatchewan: "Ready for lift-off. I saw this in Swift Current. Now those are fins. They say that a 4 door is not as desirable as the 2 door model but practically, those rear doors make more sense."
This Buick is a 1959 LeSabre, and it appears to be a very original example in Tawny Rose and Arctic White. I have driven 1959 Buicks for thousands of miles, and have found them to be superb road cars -- solid, comfortable, reliable. I have owned a 1959 Electra for the last twenty years. In reply to the comment regarding the 2-doors being more desirable, I will say that this Buick's unique "Flying Wing" 4-door hardtop body style is remarkably unique, and there are many among us who prefer this 4-door version over the 2-door hardtops.
