License plates


Piece a while back in NYT about vintage license plates, and state laws that allow/or don't their use. From the Autoliterate point of view, embossed plates are more interesting than the silkscreened plates so common now with tiresome graphics that you can't read at speed anyway. I like the Manitoba "Consular Corps" plate above. That's a rare one. Except there must have been at least 449 of 'em, right? There's always a herd of old Texas plates rumbling around Presidio County.
