1935 Ford Model 51, 221ci flathead

Saw the truck on ME 3 somewhere between Searsport and Augusta, Maine. For sale. Looked clean to me.

MG TD 1952

I caught the car at Ste-Anne de Bellevue, Quebec on a Saturday morning while hunting Québec apples, bread  puis du fromage at the farmers' market. One of the first novels I ever read was The Red Car all about an MG...but a TC, wth wire wheels.

Marfa-to-Maine, again

Hauling out SCOUT for the year. Bill Grant hauls the boat out on a big trailer after I strip sails and gear. The motor conked out so I had to sail right up to the morning in Benjamin River, which was a challenge, jibing on a southerly. Went okay, though.
The Marfa-to-Maine truck never did this kind of work in West Texas.
