1967 Buick Skylark. Denver, Colorado.

From Markus Anstadt: "Looks like a restoration in progress. Denver neighborhood garage." Here's a 1966 Buick Skylark convertible we posted on a cold day in Maine. A 1970 Skylark in Maine. Great summer car. And speaking of summer cars, here's a 1967 Oldsmobile Cutlass.

1964 Ford Galaxie 500. Marfa, Texas.

We caught a 1962 Galaxy 500 at Pismo Beach last year. And another 1964 Galaxy 500 in Ohio. And here's a 1962 Galaxie 500 we caught in Colorado Springs a while back.

Pink Toyota. Marfa, Texas.

The Toyota wagon was part an exhibition called Los Encuentros, featuring several Hispanic/Latino/ Texan artists, at Ballroom Marfa, in Marfa, Texas. The Toyota wagon was done by Yvette Mayorga, who "links feminized labor and the aesthetics of celebration to art historic imagery, European colonization and racialism oppression." Many artists these days seem to have semi-read the same books or sat in the same humanities lectures and absorbed a fix of deconstruction and 'theory' and Lecan and Derrida, so the language describing their own works and processes has a startling sameness, artist to artist, show to show.

Love what she's done with the wagon, though, and with such intricate and committed work she does make a point, though we're not exactly sure what it is.

1977 Ford LTD Wagon. Marfa, Texas.

David Branch found it in Albuquerque and brought it home. You know how much we miss our 1969 Chevrolet Brookwood.

The fender just happened, but the owner already has a parts truck ($700) and will be replacing. Hardworking truck.

Freightliner and Square. New Hampshire.

From Reid Cunningham: "After a day of skiing I came across these two in Danbury New Hampshire.  May warmer weather see both of them on the road."

Toby's Mitsubishi Jeep. Port Barton, Palawan. Philippines.

From Toby Clark: It 's1993 Mitsubishi Jeep. They bought the rights from Kaiser to build under using Jeep name in 1955. Produced them up until 1997. They based the design on the military Willys jeep but made them longer and wider, and added a turbo-charged diesel.  4x4 Magazine said that it was the best 4x4 ever made. Mine has the steering wheel on the left  side as it was made for the Chinese agricultural market. Original cost for me was $6k Canadian.

c. 1987 Chevrolet Suburban. Marfa, Texas.

Maybe our favorite Suburban is this Plymouth Suburban, on Deer Isle, Maine. We have posted a 1975 Chevrolet Suburban. And her's a 1958 Dodge Suburban wagon.
In West Texas it's called an antelope grill.

1954 Ford F100 Wrecker. Fort Davis, Texas.

Lover that Fort Davis highway. The photos below were shot on the same trip, within an hour of each other. Light changes fast in the desert, when it changes.
