Fords, Boyd Elder, Joni Mitchell & Eagles

From Ken Johnson, in Valentine, Texas. "I just picked up the green 1974 F250. It belonged to the Miller Ranch, which is behind me in Valentine. It was bought brand new by the ranch in El Paso, and I'm going to get it up and running with a 4 x 4 conversion and fuel injection.
"The blue 1972 Ford F250 "Highboy" is the truck Boyd Elder bought to take his artwork to his first art show in Venice, Beach California. It's in the Rick Griffin poster that depicts Boyd's trip from Valentine to Venice. The poster is called El Chingadero. At that art show the Eagles played their first live performance, and Joni Mitchell was there too apparently amongst others".

Citroën Berlingo: Euro Wheelbarrow

aris

From Don Green Culbertson, à Paris. "Behold the Citroen Berlingo,  the quintessential French ranch truck. (or wheelbarrow/delivery truck.) I dig on common oldish / getting rare, every day cars. Living in Europe presents a great selection of common and practical yet weird-by-US-standards cars."

c. 1975 GMC Sierra 15. Vaughn, New Mexico.

We were just inside New Mexico, and glad to be there. Had come over the pass in the Guadeloupe Mountains of Texas. Stopped in Vaughn for a great roadside lunch at a taqueria. AL walked across the road to shoot the square and was targeted as outsider– maybe from Texas– by semi-ferocious NM mutt, but snarled back, effectively enough. Had some adventures years ago, in Vaughn. Town was on one of the great cattle trails of the 1880s.

1949 Ford F-1. Santa Barbara, Calif.

And we caught a 1950 F1 at Motorland, in Maine. And a 1951 F-1, also Maine. Here's one in El Paso. And an F2 in Brooklin, Maine. Then there's that Mercury M-3 in Nova Scotia.
