1962 Pontiac Bonnevillle; 1948 GMC; 1937 Diamond Reo; Shoebox Ford.

From Alex Emond, in Banff: "On the drive back to the mountains from Saskatchewan, I stopped in a little town on the Alberta side of the provincial border. Met a couple who had these old vehicles outside their shop . He was a retired heavy equipment mechanic who still keeps a handful of projects going.  This couple's daily " summa car " is this 62 Pontiac Bonneville. Sweet.

"The '48 GMC still has part of the tree that he had to cut in order to get it home. He left it there because he has a good sense of humour. Nicest people, full of life.

"The Diamond T is a 1937 ... nicest thing I've seen in a long time . He and his son intend to restore it but with a newer Cummins diesel.

"The scorched 1949 Ford was quite a popular model in it's day, fairly sleek for that post-war time. I did a watercolour of another one a couple of summers ago ... south of Swift Current .
