From Alex Emond: A gathering of cars and trucks in the village of Cadillac, Saskatchewan. My vote for 'Best in Show' is the 1936 Ford. Nicely restored. The musclemobile "SuperBee" was a beat-up barn find that has been brought back to perfect. (BTW, have youread Alistair MacLeod's stunning short story, The Tuning of Perfection..?) The coral-colour T-bird with the white Corvette beside used to be competitors, or rivals. Now they seem like old friends just happy to be alive. Dig the grille on the old Desoto. It seems that I could go to a car show every weekend, from now until late September. I'm sure that in California, Texas or the southern states you could visit several shows per weekend. We love our old rides.
Trucks, cars, highways, landscape, good writing. "You cannot travel on the path, before you have become the Path itself."

1966 Chevrolet Impala Wagon
We are always on the lookout for the 1969 Chevrolet Brookwood wagon we foolishly sold when we left Santa Barbara.
