1954 Dodge Mayfair, Plymouth Belvedere

From Alex Emond: "I am just back in Banff after a laid back month in Saskatchewan. Expect a few 'portraits' of trucks, cars, animals etc. soon. There is a shop in Mossbank, Sk. that always has projects on the go ... a rat rod truck , some obscure old sedans - whatever. I got a kick out of the 'stubborn mule' hood ornament on the GMC pick me up. The owners of this shop have the same tailor , apparently. Cheers, Alex

1956 Buick Special

I'm the guy in the red suit but all that matters here is our 1956 Buick Special in the b.g., , the first car I remember, and I remember a lot, including the black-on-red interior.

1956 Chevrolet Bel Air

Tri-Five Chevys seem as common as..wild turkeys, in October, in Maine. But this was a nice example, and you could lose the fuzzy dice. It's for sale in Searsport, ME You know it was painstakingly restored as some guy's love object...but I wonder if restored Fifties cars are dragging on the market these days? On the other hand, I don't know anything about the market.

Mercedes Benz 300 TD

To continue the Euro-wagon theme...saw this car at Imported Motors, Inc. in Augusta, Maine. Don't know if it's for sale. Might be.

Volvo 760 wagon

Caught the car on a chill bright morning, last of October, on Brattle Street, Cambridge, Mass. That sharp Nordic style. Volvos these days seem indistinguishable from anything else.
