Morris Minor 1000 Estate Car (for sale)

Matt Dallet spotted the car on the cocktail party circuit in Northeast Harbor, ME: "I'm glad I don't have summer in NEH. I'd be in a blazer and tie every evening."--MD

Biscuit, built by Arno Day

Arno Day's lobster boats are instantly recognizable. Biscuit was never a workboat but she is unmistakably an Arno Day hull, built right here in Brooklin. We've posted her before & it was great to see her on the float at Center Harbor.

Dodge Power Ram. Early Nineties? Blue Hill Post Office 04614

That antelope grill...I wonder if the truck spent time in West Texas?

The Blueberry Barrens (Maine Vernacular)

Driving on a perfect early summer evening, crossing the blueberry barrens on the Sedgwick Ridge Rd. after fish sandwiches at the Bagaduce. You can see the mountains on Mount Desert Island (Acadia NP). Straight ahead, if you follow the road, you can see the blue water of Jericho Bay. The beautiful, empty ordinary of Maine.

4th of July Jeepster

The Jeepster belongs to a Texan but she spends summers here in Maine. Seems to me about as American a car as you get. Happy Fourth of July!

from Alex Emond: "Here's is a vintage "bug" , parked on a lonely avenue in Piapot, Saskatchewan. Good work with the spray can restoration. They call that 'fogging' in the hotrod world but in this case I think somebody just fogged up. The people's wagon!"-- AE

1962 Mercury Comet

Erik Baier spotted the Comet in Middlebury Vt. I think these FoMoCo compacts up to and including the Mustang were all based on the Falcon. Nifty little car, the right size for a sedan, and much more fun than Prius.
