LL Bean catalogue, Spring 1966

Maybe you remember the post about a photo shoot we did with LL Bean a few years back? They were recreating the covers of some catalogues from another era. This cover of the 2012 catalogue is now a poster in the LL Bean store in Ellsworth ME. I'm the sport in the kangol cap with the pipe; BB's the bouffant babe getting out of the Hairline wagon. (Damn autocorrect! they keep changing Fairlane to...) The wagon was beige, before they photoshopped it. Photoshopped the lake, too--the shoot was at a golf course on Mount Desert Island.
Nowadays a family like this would be in a motorhome the size of subway car. Or, more likely, they'd be at home, in their rooms, on their devices.
