1967 Ford F100. Marfa, Texas.

We've been here before. Something about the simplicity of the truck and the blue of the West Texas sky.

No Wall Y'all

The big buffoon is pushing fresh plans to build a border wall along the Rio Grande in Big Bend National Park. A few years back, during the first Trump administration, PB did a couple of pieces on immigration in West Texas for National Public Radio's All Thing Considered. You can listen with these links:

Ford F-350 plainjane and Big Mack. Manchester, New Hampshire.

From Reid Cunningham: "The modesty of the F-350 caught my eye.  A plainjane New England work truck: flatbed, snowplow, diesel... lots of capability, 0 truck-on-steroids design elements. And who doesn't love an old Mack?"

More transmigrantes

You caught our post last week on los transmigrantes. This rig was rolling though Marfa today, on the road to Presidio, Mexico, and Guatemala. This outfit is very common: one pickup towing another, Toyotas the most popular. both piled with parts and other stuff.

Ford F-800 and F-8. Manchester, New Hampshire

From Reid Cunningham: "A wrong turn and Google maps routing me through an industrial park on Manchester NH resulted in me stumbling across a trove of old medium and heavy duty trucks.  My favorites were these F-8's, and I got some pictures of some other old haulers.   My best guess is they are all runners...especially the Fords, given their excellent condition."
