from Reid Cunningham: "'68 and '77 Catalinas.  Springfield VT.  They had a number of old cars for sale and then a sort of junk yard/awaiting restoration area."

The owner is pounding oakum into the seams of this lobster boat, built by Arno Day of Brooklin, Maine, probably in the Sixtis.

1952 Ford Mainline

from Alex Emond: "... exactly which model is a bit of a guess . Could be a Meteor since I'm in Canada. Mr. Wikipedia lists at least 4 possible model names like Crestline and Mainline. Whatever. It was sitting on the main drag in Aneroid, Saskatchewan for all to see. Looks like it's a driver. I don't have a problem with 4 doors, but aficionados say 2 is better. They don't have dogs
ps: the grain elevator in Aneroid (below)
pps: NHL player Patrick Marleau is from Aneroid

1966 Dodge Charger

From Jonathan Welsh: "We spotted this 1966 Dodge Charger next to Route 1 on the northern outskirts of Searsport, Maine. The radically rounded fastback lasted two model years and is rare these days.
"It's more popular (and more handsome?) progeny from 1968-70 became stars of large and small screens, whether one prefers "Dirty Mary, Crazy Larry," "The Dukes of Hazzard" or "Fast and Furious.""

1927 Something

Alex Emond saw it in Saskatchewan. But what is it? At some point the car was converted to a pickup truck...

Old County Road, Brooklin Maine

We were glad to be part of a parade in Brooklin, Maine honoring students of Brooklin School. It was basically a town-wide drive-by of kids' homes, led by one of our fire trucks, the redoubtable Clarion. The 1963 GMC and the  '64 Chevy C-10 were just ahead of us in the line-up.

Lost and Found Trucks

from Alex Emond in Saskatchewan:
"I passed this hauler going east , close to the Ab./Sk. border . For a change , these trucks seemed to be heading to Sask. . The diamond amongst these ruffians is the 1938 General Motors Company truck, second to last here.
"Here's a few other 'trucks on trailers' that I have seen . They get bought at farm auctions and then they're off to their new life."

1994 Chevrolet 1500

Basic clean Chevy, on the block today at Hemmings.

Mexican Ford

from Michael Moore: "I thought this might be the color, “Matador Red” that I had my 1960 VW cabriolet painted after the first time I wrecked it but when I asked the guy what it was all he knew was that it was 'orange…maybe Toyota color'…Ah well; tiny mags, saggy stance…Mexican Ford"

Mercury M-350

From Alex Emond: "More than just a Christmas decoration, this was a one ton beast, back in the day. This truck is out front of a farm alongside Hwy 4 between Swift Current and Cadillac. Sooner or later somebody is going to make an offer and haul it away . Really nice artifact that will ride again , hopefully. Saskatchewan is slowly opening up, cautiously

1967 MGB-GT

The poet Eva H.D. spotted the car in Toronto, before the May snow. Those red wire wheels...I guess the choice would have been the MG or the Volvo 1800 ES.
