At some point, every writer is afraid.

To start. To venture.

To intuit. To revise.

To finish.

I can help you with that.

I am a Harvard Radcliffe Institute alumnus and a former Stegner Fellow at Stanford. After learning to analyze ‘story’ during fifteen years of writing and rewriting feature screenplays in Los Angeles, I used that experience to write three critically-acclaimed novels, two story collections and a sequence of essays published and broadcast in venues such as Granta, the New York Times, the Wall Street JournalNational Public Radio and CBC. I’m also a prose stylist and a line-editor with an academic background in History and International Relations. I believe in the horsepower of the perfect sentence, and that before any work—academic book or article, novel, application essay, spec screenplay, memoir–can tell a story, it must find its voice.

Contact me at PeterBehrensEditorial.com and we will book a zoom conversation to discuss your project–where you are at, and where you want to be.
