William Gedney in The Haight
William Gedney's photographs from Haight Ashbury in 1966-67 are a moody, black-and-white rendering of the hippie scene. More Season of Angst than Summer of Love. They are collected in a new book of his photographs, A Time of Youth, published by Duke University Press. Remember Gedney's stunning photos from eastern Kentucky we posted a while back?
