1945 Chevrolet pickup, revised

from Michael Moore, in Northern California: 
"So after some five months of other distractions on both our parts Shawn finally made it out during a perfect [you're gonna hate this!] week of February weather with the new old bed ten inches shorter and the worst of the rot patched up to correct what we both saw as a certain imbalance in the proportions of my '45 Chev, which looked like this a week ago;
 "Comparing sizes; trying fitment...









"Old bed out, new bed in, fenders tacked on temporarily, mounts located, bed out again for welding and bracing and third day back on for good...
.. then niggly little sheetmetal refinements until, yesterday, various bracings, detail work, and... 



"The final result.  For comparison the last picture shows the truck as it came from the factory [i.e. James' Gardiner's Brokenlight Customs back in 2011] with a load from the junkyard in American Canyon including the future [at that point] running boards...
