It's an Austin Gypsy or Austn Champ, Austin's effort at displacing the Land Rover. It was aimed first and foremost at the growing military market but they were more complex and expensive than Land Rovers.

...and the one next to it looks like a Yak, a Chinese miniature of the Dodge Powerwagon [sort of] from, well, I saw them in Nepal in the late '70s...ran a simple four cylinder flathead and seemed like you could keep it repaired with baling wire and imagination.
