Jeep Grand Wagoneer

Not sure of the date on this baby. We posted a 1974 Wagoneer from NJ last summer. A 1972? Wagoneer in Portland, Maine. And another Wagoneer out in LA. And a 1964 Jeep Wagoneer in Colorado Springs.

c. 1978 Toyota FJ 40

from Reid Cunningham: I came across this in Franklin NH.  It's looks to be a rolling restoration, the  paint fresh and the details a work in progress.  My Great Aunt Peg drove a red FJ with a white hardtop.  When we visited her in Center County PA she would take us up up the dirt roads that cut through the mountains to remote fields she knew for berry-picking.  She had grown up very poor and had become a teacher at a one room school house to make some money for the extended family.  She could cook up a storm all from memory, kept a big garden for years, canned, made jam, made her own clothes. A marriage late in life brought her some security and a husband who bought her the Toyota.  She called her manual shift FJ "Bruiser".

AL: here's another FJ40 posted form Coloradoa while back.

Beasts of Burden

From Alex Emond in Saskatchewan: There always seems to be one or two old farm trucks lurking in every prairie town. Still good for hauling leaves and branches, or old shingles...trips to the dump. Ready, willing and able despite being 70 years old. Here are just a few examples.

AL: Then there's ex-Alberta grainer Toby Clark and I drove from Banff to Big Bend, r/t.

Mazda 2200

from Matthew Sheehey: "I saw this sweet Mazda B2200 for the first time tonight while walking my dog in Arlington, VA. The owner must have been visiting my neighbor, an electrician who fixes up vans and school buses to sell as food trucks. I think this Mazda is the perfect small truck, especially with the stick shift. This one is the 3rd generation of the B series (1985 to 1998)."
AL is interested in posting more example of the small, efficient and very useful Japanese pickups we call wheelbarrows, like this 1986 Toyota, this 1973 Toyota Hilux  or Alex Morgan's 1982 Hilux.

1987 Chevrolet R20 Stepside

The truck's in Maine. Don't think it's seen anything of winter, though. When did the Chevrolet C20 became the R20? This is the cleanest truck we have seen in a while, and it's for sale. We posted a plainjane squarebody K10 from Deer Isle last week. And a C10 from Marfa, Texas a while back.

1972 Dodge D-series

From Jonathan Welsh: "This generation of the Dodge D-Series ran with few styling changes from 1972 to 1980. The Club Cab had a little extra room for children, pets and groceries. This one turned up in Bloomfield, N.J. I love the faded tire shop sign, the compressor in the bed and the Sasquatch sticker. All very '70s."
AL: check out this Dodge D250 from Donald Judd country.

International Scout, needs rescue.

From Alex Emond: "A couple of interesting relics "appreciating" on a lot in Mankota , Saskatchewan. Hard for me to get specific about the year for either of these units. (AL: Let's call the Scout a 1966 and the Dodge a 76.) They could use a little TLC. They both have potential. Cheers, AE"
