1970 Chevrolet Monte Carlo

     from Jonathan Welsh:
"Chevy entered the personal-car fray in 1970 with the first-generation Monte Carlo. Stylist Dave Holls, who also led the '67 Camaro design team, penned this two-door's clean lines. I think he would have been at home at Ghia or Bertone.
"This Donnybrook Green example was parked just a few doors down in Montclair, N.J., yesterday. Green inside, too. Funny how that color scheme with a vinyl top, uncool for decades, looks pretty neat now.The fine, square-mesh grille and minimal hood spear peg this as a '70 model."

AL: Maybe the Riviera was ancestor of these cars?
