1970 Toyota Corona 1900

Back in 1970, the start of a decade when Japan--remember Japan?--was supposed to take over the world economy. They certainly did take and still hold the market for four-door sedans--a dying breed--in the US. I have very fond memories of a Mazda 808 wagon that took me to several coasts and back before it died of rust. The word was, the Japanese steel used by automakers didn't hold up, and I guess that's why Toyotas, Datsuns and Hondas of the era are a rare sight these days.
