Eggemoggin Reach was flat as glass Tuesday morning when I drove over the Deer Isle Bridge to pick up Scout's motor in Stonington. We launched that afternoon, but by the time I headed out down Benjamin River it was blowing 30 knots WSW, Small Craft Advisory. Shouldn't have gone but I was under power, no sails up, and on a schedule--which is often a recipe for disaster. Made it to Center Harbor fine, but it was a wet and bumpy ride. Feeling salty and kinda beat-up but alive.

We launch at Benjamin River, the Sedgwick side. Calm as anything earlier today.
Launch day couture. Comme il faut, as we say in the country formerly known as your ally.
