Spotted the Fury--1972?--- on US 1 on a sunny day in June. Maybe headed for the beach. Ain't that America.  Hey, the link will take you to a music video from 1983, John Mellencamp's Little Pink Houses. It's a good song, and one of the worst videos ever made. No that's not fair. I've hardly seen any music videos. Maybe it's one of the best. The genre always seemed impossible--musicians lip synching songs while ludicrous imagery unspooled?  Oh well, it is a good song. I was driving a dump truck in Banff when I first heard it. An International. The Eighties look pretty bad right now. I think the 00's & 20-teens will look very lame in a couple years too, style-wise. Mid century modern obsession? Tiresome.  DWELL magazine is done. No more beards please, patchy or full. Especially if you live in Brooklyn. In fact, leave Brooklyn, now.
