1968 MGB. Portland, Maine.


Must be Spring, when you see a bee. I'm guessing it's a 1968 car--must have been just before the B was weighed down with ugly black impact bumpers, which more or less sunk the gestalt of the car. In fact I thought they wore them by '68, when they got those side lights. Some owners peeled off the black rubber ugliness and replaced it with the earlier edition chrome bumpers. I remember driving Maggie Glenn's MGB, summer of '67--Summer of Love-- in Ste-Marguerite Station, Quebec, though I was years from having a license. Sleek and nimble it was.
 Just realized now that Maggie's initials were--but of course--MG.
