1964 International Scout 80. Marfa, Texas

  1. This is a Scout 800 and has to be at least a 1965. The 800 started in 1965 and went to 1971.

    When they transitioned from the 80 to the 800 the IH logo moved from the grille to the front of the hood. It's missing in these pics but you can see where it used to be. The wipers moved from the top of the windshield to the bottom. The dashboard changed from a simple flat panel to the slightly 'curvy' one here. The tail gate latch method changed from a simple hook on a cable to the release lever. The license plate mount to the left of the tailgate was added as was the key lock below the door handle.

    There was overlap in some of the details between the 80 and 800, for instance some 800s had wipers at the top of the windshield, but this truck has all the details of an 800.
