Salt Chevrolet, Cumberland Island, Georgia

from the photographer, Jarrod McCabe
"Found this salty Chevy on cumberland islandoff the coast of Georgia--a mostly National Seashore that still has some private residents. Sure was a pretty sight amidst 10+ miles of barren beach.
The owner is a caretaker at the stafford plantation on the island.
Not sure exactly what she's used for other than crossing the dunes to get to the beach.
The folks that had her out that day said they saw the effects of all the salty beach drives within the first year she'd been on the island.  (not exactly sure when that was)  "this is where trucks come to die"
i found the holes in the wheel wells to be rather impressive.
Sounds like a pretty good way to go out to me."--J.M.
