Vela Goes In; Crabby Maine

If you're following this blog you might know that boats, especially sailboats, are another interest of ours. In downeast Maine this time of year there tends to be more interesting boat action than truck action. For example we were catching crabs down at the boatyard this afternoon just when Havilah Hawkins' 50' gaff-rigged sloop Vela was going in. She is a handsome vessel, which HH built, on the other side of the Benjamin river in Sedgwick ME.
p.s. H landed 10 crabs, some softball size, in about half an hour.
